Jane has a comprehensive corporate practice with experience in all aspects of transactional matters advising clients on corporate governance, operational concerns, risk management, business dispute resolution, and contracts. She has a particular emphasis in the health care industry, advising clients in compliance, fraud and abuse, illegal remuneration, referrals and Stark legislation. In addition, Jane has expertise in representing insurance companies, agencies and related entities on business, regulatory and administrative law issues, including arbitrations on reinsurance disputes.
Jane's clients range from large public companies in various industries, to small to mid-sized corporations, and individual physicians and physician groups in all aspects of general corporate counseling. She represents the largest residential home builder in the United States, handling insurance, risk management, regulatory and licensing work. Jane also represents one of the region's largest title insurance companies in corporate governance and regulatory matters. Additionally, Jane has represented the 1,200-member Texas Association for Home Care trade association's general counsel and many individual member companies of the association during the last 15 years, including handling its challenge to the constitutionality of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, regulatory violations and licensing matters.
