Jane Taber has a comprehensive business law practice with experience in a myriad of diverse transactional matters advising on corporate governance, operational concerns, risk management, business dispute resolution, and contracts, as well as acquisitions.
Ms. Taber has a particular emphasis in the health care industry, advising clients in business and operational issues, acquisitions, disciplinary actions, general compliance, fraud & abuse, illegal remuneration, referrals and Stark legislation. In addition, she has an expertise in representing insurance companies, agencies and related entities on mergers, liquidations, general business, regulatory and administrative law issues, including arbitrations on reinsurance disputes.
Jane has been recognized for her writing ability by the Texas State Bar, having received the Best in Series - Substantive Law award in 2008. She also has the distinction of being selected as one of the top women lawyers in Dallas for her work in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions by D Magazine in 2010.

Client Matters
Ms. Taber represents the largest residential home builder in the US, handling insurance, risk management, regulatory and licensing work. She also represents one of the largest title insurance companies in its holding company and regulatory matters, recently completing a series of three mergers and one liquidation, as well continued regulatory compliance matters.
Ms. Taber has represented the 1200 member Texas Association for Home Care trade association as outside counsel, and many individual member companies of the association, over the last 15 years from handling their challenge to the constitutionality of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 to regulatory violations and licensing matters.
Her clients range from large public companies in various industries, to small to mid-sized corporations, and individual physicians and physician groups in all aspects of general corporate and transactional counseling, drafting and negotiation. In addition to business formation and general corporate work, Ms. Taber counsels clients on various contracts. Some examples of Ms. Taber's recent contract work includes drafting compensation incentive plans, executive indemnity agreements, record retention agreements with third party vendors, service agreements and various vendor contracts.
